This Australian patented technology is an eco-friendly invention putting motion into signage.
Rotosign is patented in Australia, China and the European patent (23 countries) and Japanese patent applications are being examined now.
Rotosign is included in the Australian Technology Showcase.
Rotosign has a number of unique applications in eco friendly signage, educational, entertainment and artistic products.
LED illuminated signs are eye-catching. They use very little energy , have no waste problems and are very pleasing to the eye.
The Rotosign for first release has an internal wall of rotating plastic gears placed in a geometric pattern, topped with reflective holographic decals illuminated with LEDs in the frame.
This produces an animated effect which highlights standard vinyl signage and corporate logos, images etc.
For over three years Rotosign has been proven in retail and commerce to attract business in Brisbane .
The rotating display has speed control. Ten revolutions per gear per minute up to forty revolutions. The low speed is relaxing and the high speed is eyecatching.
We now have a joint venture agreement with a toy manufacturing company in Guangdong, China.
Seeking to diversify the director saw the potential in Rotosign products. Production prototypes are currently being prepared.
Mass production starts in late January.
Export will be largely in DIY kits to enable cut and assembly in the country of destination including Australia.
The QUT Deep Blue Orchestra in Queensland have been using Rotosigns on stage and in promoting their merchandise and in the ticket office. They think it is a great product.
This simple technology has global market potential to replace fluorescent tube and Neon illumination in signage. Both use over 10 times + more energy and have toxic waste products.
Both do not have the unique advantage of actual movement in the sign.
