I am John Brennan, inventor of the Rotosign. Here I am with our contact in China, Andy Lam. We are holding a Rotosign Mark I.
Some years ago, I saw a need to add movement to illuminated signage. Together with my partner, artist/designer Serena Dolinska-Adamus, the new improved eye-catching Rotosign was developed and patented.
As an eco-friendly alternative to light box signs, the energy efficient Rotosign with LED lighting and low voltage motor, has many applications in signage, education and entertainment areas. Many Rotosigns are already successfully increasing trade in businesses around Australia.
With interest from around the world signalling a potential global market, Rotosign would prefer to be Aussie through and through—designed, developed and produced in Australia.
A large Brisbane moulding company has indicated that using robotics costing $200,000 to set up, would enable Rotosign to competitively manufacture and export internationally.
Rotosign now has offers from five countries for national distribution rights. However, a Chinese offer to joint venture there and supply the international market, at peppercorn costs to Rotosign, is being considered. The invention is designed for export in DIY for fast assembly by national distributors who wholesale to the signage trade.
This is Australian technology that can be cost effectively made here. Rotosign could use forward thinking joint venture partners to help take this project to the next step and also provide jobs for Queensland!
We have come up with a new variation of Rotosign which has even more commercial appeal and all sorts of applications.
With a background that includes graphic design, illustration, painting, drawing and sign writing, I am the artist in "Artistic Signs"!
